Ok everyone, welcome to the newly formed Jubilee Park Community Gardens (JPCG)

 

Ross from the PUG Ā Mens ShedĀ and myself (Diego) met today to officially launch theĀ gardens.
Below a run down of what we discussed for all to see.

We would like to acknowledge the support of the City of Sydney with a Matching Grant.

Meeting minutes:

  • The committee launch the JPCG
  • The committee review and accept the contract from the City of Sydney (CoS) Matching Grant
  • Big Fag Press to accept, sign the contract and return to Cos with invoice for $5000

The first post, the first planting

Yay, we have been granted the grant from the City of Sydney (thank you thank you) and that means we are now official!
No more sneaking in styrofoam boxes full of dirt, and guerrilla planting of tomato bushes, we can now plan for a proper set up.

Below the first recount of our very first action: new garden, new seedlings.
While we wait for the boxes to be fabricated we might just as well get in a crop of tomatoes, rocket, chilly and parsley, and here’s how we did it>
